Ofe ugu is a typical Igbo soup served with swallows such as plantain fufu, amala or semo. It is easy and quick to prepare.

- Ugu leaves, cut into small pieces
- Water
- Palm oil
- Ground pepper
- Sliced onion
- Stock cube
- Beef
- Ground crayfish
- Salt
Equipment[edit | edit source]
- Knife
- Pot
- Bowl/plate
- Stove
- Spoon
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Rinse the ugu leaves, and boil in water for a few minutes.
- Add palm oil, ground pepper, and onion. Cook for few minutes.
- Stir, then add seasoning cube, beef, ground crayfish, and salt to taste. Cook for few minutes.
- Serve the soup with the swallow of your choice.
