Social Norms

[edit | edit source]

The social norms (SN) outcomes are involved in the common and expected behaviours of society.

There are four social norms outcomes:

  • SN1: Explain social learning theory, making reference to two relevant studies.
  • SN2: Discuss the use of compliance techniques.
  • SN3: Evaluate research on conformity to group norms.
  • SN4: Discuss factors influencing conformity.

Note that any example responses are not necessarily worth full marks, but exist simply to provide an idea of how an example looks.
